Unbridled Sailing began as part of Bluegrass Backcountry, llc, and the sailing aspect has spun off independently of the climbing, canoeing and hiking aspects. Unbridled Sailing is based in Louisville, KY, offering sailing instruction and private charter on the Ohio River. We pride ourselves on flexibility and client-oriented service. We make sure that everyone gets a great experience while learning the 'ropes' of sailing.
Unbridled Sailing also offers trip-planning assistance to those who wish to charter in waters more tropical than those of the Ohio. We can help with some of the challenges associated with a first-time (or second-time, or third-time) bareboat charter. Our staff is experienced in the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, and the French, British, and Dutch West Indies. And our logistics expertise extends to provisioning boats for a few or many.
Marc Crutcher has taught sailing in many different locations on many different boats, including tall ships and large catamarans. Marc has taught in the waters of the Leeward Islands, the Florida Keys, and now here on the Ohio River. He also races, travelling a yearly circuit of regattas from Key West to Chicago.
