Unbridled Sailing began as part of Bluegrass Backcountry, and the sailing aspect has spun off independently of the climbing, canoeing and hiking aspects. Unbridled Sailing is based in Louisville, KY, offering solutions to your sailboat related needs, everything for beginners needing sailing instruction on the Ohio River, to old salts who need some sails or rigging. We pride ourselves on flexibility and client-oriented service, and service a wide area. We make sure that everyone gets a great experience while learning the 'lines' of sailing.

Unbridled Sailing also stocks line of various sizes and can order anything a boat may need. The rigging shop has grown over the last few years to become a good supplier to groups such as B25, FT10, M24, and S2 7.9 owners who upgrade thier running rigging.

Unbridled Sailing has been a sail supplier since the beginning, once representing North Sails, and still with Ullman, Unbridled Sailing now has its own brand, produced on the same floors as many other lofts in the US use.

Unbridled Sailing also offers trip-planning assistance to those who wish to charter in waters more tropical than those of the Ohio. We can help with some of the challenges associated with a first-time (or second-time, or third-time) bareboat charter. Our staff is experienced in the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, and the French, British, and Dutch West Indies. Our logistics expertise extends to provisioning boats for a few or many.

 

Marc Crutcher has taught sailing in many different locations on a variety of boats, including tall ships and large catamarans. Marc has taught in the waters of the Leeward Islands, the Florida Keys, and now here on the Ohio River. He also races, travelling a yearly circuit of regattas from Key West to Mackinac .
